The festival’s mission is to raise awareness of the many benefits of the dandelion—leaf, flower, and root. As one of the first spring foods for bees and other pollinators, the dandelion is a symbol of renewal and resilience. By celebrating rather than spraying them, we help reduce harmful chemicals entering our soil, water, and ecosystems.
