Welcome to KK’s the Farm!
At KK’s the Farm, we use biodynamic practices to grow fresh, seasonal produce that nourishes the land, our community, and future generations.

Our Story
Back in 1999, Ira and KK Haspel were deep in the architecture and building industry when something even more important came along - their grandkids. KK wanted to feed them the absolute best food, so after diving into research and hands-on learning, she and Ira began biodynamic farming.
It started as a way to nourish their own family, but word spread, and suddenly, their produce was in demand far beyond the dinner table.
Fast forward to today, and KK’s the Farm now supplies over 10 restaurants, runs a thriving CSA, and has a farm stand where locals can get their hands on the freshest, nutrient-packed produce.

Ira Haspel
FARMER & CO-FOUNDER
Ira has run KK’s the Farm in Southold since 1999, continuing the vision of his late wife, KK. A former architect, Ira was inspired by KK’s dedication to biodynamic farming. After tasting what she grew, he knew this was his life’s new mission. He’s studied extensively - attending Biodynamic conferences, workshops, and learning under pioneers like Jeff Frank at the Nature Lyceum.
